It was a planned stunt ek, he went to the game knowing hed be leaving right after. He knew very well players on both side would use their right and platform to protest what they think is wrong and used tax payer money to make a political protest of his own.

He couldve made a tweet, press conference, a short youtube vid etc if he ever wanted to voice his opinions decided to do it in a very poor expensive way with a public stunt that effected everyone @ the game.

Even if he stayed for the whole thing, then made a statement to the media afterward, it wouldve gotten nowhere near the backlash it did.

You keep using "may" as if it wasn't a guarantee. Someone was absolutely, 100% going to protest. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. So no, there was never even a slight chance he would have stayed.

And nobody is disrespecting America you dense buffoon (yes ad hominem because hey, you've earned it). You kneel when you pray, and you pray when you need God's help. You kneel when you go to a grave, because you honor them. In football when someone gets hurt, you take a knee to honor them and hope they're okay. Throughout history when you meet the king or someone else of high esteem you kneel.

The common theme in kneeling is respect and hoping things get better. There is no double standard at all.

And stop bringing up tax dollars paying for stadiums. There's a substantial difference between an investment (stadium that pumps money/jobs into the economy year after year) and a bill (a one-off publicity stunt that adds nothing of value to society).

And Ek youre a smart dude you know exactly why local tax revenues go toward NFL stadiums.

Yes most team owners can afford to build their own stadiums, The NFL as an entity can afford to build stadiums as well.

That being said NFL teams / stadiums generate tonnnnns of revenue locally. Something all states desire, more money. Thats why in recent years there been alot of movement and bidding to house teams looking to get new stadiums. Remember it takes money to make money? Thats why Oakland (along with several other political reasons) is losing the Raiders, They enjoy the money the Raiders bring in but they arent willing to foot part of the bill to make sure that money keeps rolling in.

Las Vegas said hell yea, we'll up the prices along the strip, increase a few taxes here and there and well get another attraction to bring even more money into the city.

I guess the few thousand jobs generated doesnt hurt either..
