I do squats every day, probably my favorite lift. Plus there are so many variations that work different parts that you can technically do something new each day of the week.
If you do squats every day youre either over training or not training hard enough
That's not true.
Also every day means every day I lift which is usually 4-6 days a week. But still, you can easily do various squats daily without over/under training.
I didn't say it was better (or didn't mean to at least, if I did) it's just a stance I really like that gives a deep thigh workout and lifts the ass. I wouldn't recommend doing any one type exclusively. Feet together will also strengthen your knees.
Just do what's comfortable, but like deadlifts (and anything else) form > heavy weight
Unless sumo squats mean something else where you are, they don't use the bar. Usually you take a super wide stance (sumo), point your toes out, and use like a kettle-bell or a dumbbell.
Yeah. There are so many different muscles where even slight modifications to a lift can work an entirely different group. Using the bar for squats works your stomach and lats (obviously this isn't an ab/lats intended workout) because you have to stabilize and balance as you do the exercise. Sumo squats are still a weighted squat but it's almost all quads since you're just holding the weight and not balancing it.
basicly i just use my 10lb dumbbells cuz they are all i have around but holding them like they were a bar is weird af i hold them more like how u would throw in a soccor ball i guess
its probably worth using the weight room just for the mirrors but then i have to look at my disgusting self and people will recognize me as a noob right away and try to offer their goddamn advice
