This essentially reminds me a lot of old friends I would meet up with.
They would hear about how well I was doing - visit me, sometimes stay with me, etc. And we would go out, and have a great time. All on my dollar, always. Some were in better situations than others.
At some point in the night, they would say something where I could tell where it was leading - for example, "it must be nice", or "how did you do it", with a certain tone or look that told me, "oh, ok, it's coming."
Often times we would be getting drunk or high - so this obviously exacerbates the situation.
As the night goes on, their language would get more aggressive. They might ask exactly how much money I had, etc.
And it would often lead to some kind of conflict, all because I took them out and tried to show them a good time.
According to them, my spending money with them was FLAUNTING it. According to them, I was BOASTING.
I was living life and encouraging them to enjoy it with me.
That's honestly what this mentality reminds me of, and it's sad.
lmao, even in his make believe stories about being wealthy porter STILL has no real friends
