racism is pretty much non-existant where im from/live. have never heard any of my black friends (from the whitewashed ones whos parents are lawyers to the "hoods" that sell dimes and rob people to buy gucci belts and big ass rings) and whatnot legit complain about being victims of racism so i guess it makes them really lenient with people saying nigga idk but everyone says it from the rich little white girls to the wiggers

I grew up in a fairly diverse area but it would sound very forced and unnatural if I tried to use it casually

From what I understand singing/rapping along with songs isn't an issue
Except if you're at a concert and you're on camera seen yelling it, it will probably end up on the internet

I'm white and I had some ITALIAN friends who would throw the word around like it was nothing...

Not my thing though...

It doesn't feel natural to me and I never felt the need to force it...

Especially because it makes a vast majority of people feel uncomfortable...

around here its pretty obv imo if you grew up in the environment where it rubbed off on you and feels natural to say vs tryna force some type of persona or some shit you cant really get away with faking the funk much for long before somebody smacks the fuck out of you im sure its same in every super populated city with lots of black dudes and chicos.

It's not a big deal around here, there's hardly any acknowledgement that it can have a derogatory meaning. saying "my nigga" is pretty standard, but still cringe-worthy when said by white ppl to white ppl. it's mostly used by the younger generation since we don't even really speak English to each other anyway
