yo weren't guns kinda legal in OZ a while back? then a killing spree happened and they instantly made them illegal?
am i remembering this right
Yeah, after the Port Arthur Massacre (35 killed, 23 wounded) everything changed completely. You can still get guns but it's REALLY difficult/strict and you have to abide by all sorts of restrictions and conditions to keep them. Like if you have a hand gun you have to be a registered member of a shooting club and go to X number of meetings per year etc.
I hit a kid in the head with a cricket bat by accident when I was like 7-8 years old. He recently wrapped his car around a telegraph pole and died. I hope the two things are unrelated.
a "telegraph" pole?
was his car a delorian or a model t?

and that sounds like a pretty awesome idea that will hopefully be implemented in some way
personally, i think that one thing that should happen at the very least is that if you want to buy a gun, you must have a permit, and to get a permit, you must have a background check and all that as well as getting some kind of psychological evaluation to prove you are of sound mind. this would also create some jobs in america, which we desperately need right now, and increase the likelihood that guns that are purchased are going into responsible hands.
