Gave it 2-1 to Hollow. Edged the first to Hollow, gave the 2nd to Lux and the 3rd to Hollow. Definitely should have been untimed rounds the whole way through and wtf with the sound issues? $300k+ for the event and they couldn't get professional mics? Props to UW for makin it happen, but they need to step the production game up before Smack just pays everybody the same way and does this shit better.

If what Hollow said was 100% true, he exposed Lux as a guy that preaches and demonizes others from his high horse and yet made several questionable decisions in his past (lion's den issues, alleged cokehead)



He also exposed Lux as a guy whose pride was too good to get a job and in doing so he hurt the welfare of his son. The diva angle also plays on this where he put his pockets before the fans and almost sabotaged a classic (had UW not stepped in)


He also pointed out the alleged hypocrisy of Lux chastising and demonizing Hollow for the "lean" and drug abuse when he (Lux) doesn't have an issue paling around with colleagues that indulge in those same substances and yet Lux himself might've even taken a worse substance (cocaine)


Exposing his simple to intricate rhyme structure and image of perfection was nice but it doesn't take away from Lux's dopeness. It does speak to some of his fans who will gas everything he says even if they don't get it and the allure of crowds cheering bars that either don't make 100% sense or went over their heads. Or how fans are prone to reach for a deeper meaning where none exists.


The setup to bringing Blackface on stage was to expose the one dimensional nature of Lux's critique on "lost" niggas and how it disregards the complexities and nuances of tough life situations by painting everything black and white. Lux talks down to "lost" niggas for them going to jail or doing drugs. Things are not always that simple. Out the pen, Blackface actually turned his life around and has a legitimate grind with music (Rock Bottom) and other things now. He even gave back to the really run down parts of D town a while back. So how the fuck is Lux gonna call him a lost nigga to his face now?
