He should fight in both IMO.

go for a title run at 155 and only accept smart fights like 2 or 3 a year that can move him to a contender position.

then he can fight at 170 2-3 times as well for all his fun and short notice fill in fights because he doesnt need to cut and like you said he still smashes anyone outside the top 10

would be perfect
