                California state athletic commission just passed a bunch of new weight cutting rules. licensing by weight class, addition weight classes (165,175,195,225), weight class restrictions for fighters who miss weight, day of the event weight check, and more

                        UFC 214 in Anaheim will be using these new rules apparently.

                        I agree more rules is bad but more weight classes is good for actually crowning a champion imo

                        North America has to get on board with open weight tournaments tho for guys who want it. I guess Bellators heavy weight tournament thats been talked about could be like open weight

                            youre right not necessarily, but the ufc and bellator both apparently said they liked and supported the rules from the stuff ive read
