I wouldnt say he was losing the brown fight, it was a hell of a fight.

People been giving brown a ton of shit because of the losing streak but he fights nothing but studs.

Same with cowboy. He didnt have to take this fight, he did it because he wanted to, and i wouldnt call masvidal a super technical striker (no hate tho he nice)

Anyone in Cowboys shoes with his current streak/record had no business fighting a below top 10 guy, Cowboy was arguably 1 fight away from a title shot, he shouldve waited 2 months and asked for Lawler for a contender match.

And imo this loss wont set him back, he basically moves from 2nd in line to 3rd or 4th so 1 win vs a top 10 guy and hes back in the picture.

I agree with Chaunce. Undoubtedly he was probably #2 for the title shot after Maia. If he can get a good W he's probably number 3. Hell if he could beat Lawler it might put him back at #2.
