Just read that Liverpool winning the Europa would have no impact on 4th spot, it would just mean 5 English teams.

The only time 4th spot would miss out is if a team wins the CL and don't finish in the top 4. That's when 4th misses out.

I hope Liverpool do it. We just need to make sure we get in the top 4.

I thought the only way 5 teams is possible is if the EL/CL winner finishes on a CL spot in the league like Sevilla did last time.

Im still not sure whether EL win and no CL qualification grants the same thing iah

This season was the first where the winners of the previous UEFA Europa League gained automatic entry into the UEFA Champions League: Sevilla taking that berth despite finishing fifth in Spain (they are currently seventh). That meant Spain had a record five teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage this time around.
