Readers from the US, Canada, Australia and the UK may not be familiar with the phenomenon “white pixelation” (vitpixling) which the media here in Sweden uses a lot. When there’s a big media coverage about criminals in Sweden and the perpetrator isn’t Swedish (read: white) the media pixel the face of the perpetrator and they don’t stop there they even add “whiteness” to it so it will appear as it’s an Swede (read: white person) behind the crime.
The controversial streetartist Dan Park critisizes the media by doing this
