Re: Money or Happiness? Decide Wreckless' Career Path ITT.
It's really just health insurance and the ability to obtain loans that even has me in a real job.
I need a new car.
I should buy a house.
16 hour weeks to pay bills and buy groceries was awesome but my 3rd childhood ending RIP.
I could supplement my income by doing side IT work.
I did it for 4 years part time and would probably work the same amount of hours and make around the same money but wouldn't hate the environment.
I think I'm onto something.
that's the optimum tbh you can even start a freelance kind of thingy for that to be able to ask for a somewhat guaranteed extra income if the eventual new job choice doesn't work out
good luck in ur decision

Re: Money or Happiness? Decide Wreckless' Career Path ITT.
I believe the studies show money can't buy happiness over 85k/year but anything below that, the more money you have the happier you are (generally)
Imo stay at your current job unless it makes you legitimately depressed
Happiness is everything but is the marginal benefit of being slightly happier worth a 18k pay cut? Only u can decide
