Ego Trip's Book of Rap Lists - This came out in like '99 but it's still a very good read. It's divided into sections like History, Political, Beef, etc. and reads more like a magazine than a book. The best thing about it though are the lists at the back. The editors picked their top 25 albums and top 25 singles by year and it put me on to a ton of shit I would have never heard of. Especially DJ records with all kindsof scratches and shit that are dope.

Crock Pot - If you never messed with one you're missing out. You can get a good one on sale for around $20-$30 and it pays for itself after about 2-3 uses. Pork roast, Beef roast, Beef stew, etc. Easy as cutting up potatoes and carrots or whatever vegetables and tossing a slab of meat on top. Anything takes about 5 hours so you can go to the store or whatever while it's cooking. Better than same shit you would get in a restaurant for 3x the price and leftovers for days.

Pie plates - I'm talking the big ones you make pies in. Superior to regular plates by any standard. Fits more food and has a huge lip so if you eat on the couch or whatever you're less likely to spill.

Get in the Van: On the Road with Black Flag - Pretty much Henry Rollins journal from is time with Black Flag. Very crazy and interesting stories about punk shows. Clashes with police, violent crowds, observations of society, and random shit. I think Black Flag is the most important band to come out in my lifetime and like the idea of the punk scene that is mostly dead today.

Carrying a pocket knife - I use mine at least once a week for dumb shit like cutting wrappers off something or whatever but when you really need it, it's awesome to have. I aint talking no combat shit or whatever but just a small folder that you can use should the need arise.

Good stuff @Xplisit I used to go walleye fishing whn they were spawning and there was like a 2 week period where for an hour or two every day you could catch as many fish as times you throw a line out. Pull them out of the water and they would be dripping eggs and gross as fuck but they were easy to clean and taste good.

Throwing water bottles in the freezer and taking them out right before they fully freeze so you can crush the thin ice that's built up and have bottled ice water. I also do this with powerades for a slight slush effect.
