The love that Sean Price received in life has gotten that much stronger since the beloved Heltah Skeltah MC’s untimely passing over the weekend.
A crowd-funding page launched by Duck Down Music to assist Price’s family in “moving forward†has already raised $57,209 and the donations keep coming.
Remarkably, more than 800 fans have opened their hearts to give whatever they can spare. The average donation is approximately $70 per person, with some donating as little as $10 or $15 just to show support.
Fans have been leaving heartwarming messages to Price and his family as well. "Rest In Power to Sean Price, one of the realest, most fun and unique emcees around,†wrote an anonymous donor. “What a loss for the hip hop community. I can't say enough good things about P aka Ruck's records and even more so his live shows — seriously he seemed to be at every show in NY and always rocked it, no matter how large or small of a venue, and he was a true man of the people. [He] will truly live on."
