    Now that the hype surrounding Meek's untimely death has passed, let's discuss the reference tracks he referenced. Are they really that big of a deal if other musicians use them? Music nowadays is about hits/final product and image. Even authenticity is an image and product. Even if the musician didn't make the original song, they know how to turn a draft into a hit, which is a skill not many people have.

      Man im sick of ppl giving credit to drake for "making it a hit". Nigga they gave him the beat and the lyrics! Lmao he didnt have to do anything besides record it. The engineers tweak his voice after lol wtf he didnt do anything for the song. How do u motherfuckers not see this

              we can't deny that there's a certain something the 6 god has that makes hits. If quintin released the tracks on his own, fully produced, they wouldn't have that certain spark that drizzy gives songs
