while i agree and am guessing you are refering to mgmt and indie style of song through a kaleidoscope type of thing... i think this is MOSTLY to do with the advent of the internet and shift away from big budget major label style recordings that can afford 24 inch tape and the nice neves/ssls etc. the cpu power these days is actually good enough to get that sound imo but the increased ease of making your own music all in the box has lowered the talent of the average band/artist significantly. this is just mo
MGMT really fuckin dope I'm and if pop was all like that id be a willing participant. I like Taylor Swift too tbh.

Just drove through Albuquerque blaring Chris Cornell's cover of Billie Jean.

Fml he really was one of the best voices.

Ok, good. I'm not the only one that considered this a possibility. I feel better now.

                    RIP Chris Cornell.

Is Eddy Vedder the only famous grunge singer left? Cobain is dead. Layne Staley is dead. Scott Weiland is dead. Now Cornell? Dang.

                        Re: R.I.P. Chris Cornell

I've seen a few articles about Eddie Vedder being the sole survivor of grunge but Mark Arm of Mudhoney/Green River is still alive. Green River were pretty much the godfathers of grunge with Mark Arm(Mudhoney) and Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam. Tad Doyle of Tad and Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees are still alive as well. Besides Eddie Vedder, although not from Seattle, Courtney Love would probably be the most famous living singer from the grunge era.

Nobody cares. Even me. But I met Dave grohl before and he's a cool dude.
IDGAF about food fighters or Nirvana or celebrity or nothing either but my friend set up a show for him in warren oh and we chilled backstage after and you can't even tell he's rich tbh. Just a regular guy really.

They wanted to name a street after him and he said no but you can name an alley so they did and he donates alot of money local for kids. I think he's from around here I can't remember it was a few years ago.

I'm horrible. I need to practice so I can start an alt country band. Middle aged white battle rapper isn't a good look.
