How does working "in banking" mean you're not broke? A bank teller makes like $10/hr. They also work "in banking".

It sounds like you're giving a vague title to your occupation to make someone think you're the VP of Chase.

By not giving your job title it's safe to assume that it's not anything significant or you'd use that instead of "in banking".
