Re: Biggest obstacles in the way of URL/KOTD/Dont Flop/etc. throwing a mega-eventtoge
The bottom line is the URL has nothing to gain by doing that. Neither league owns the rights to any of the talent so whats the point? For comparison sake, the KOTD brand brings a minimum to the table as far as promotional value next to the URL brand, which brings in many more fans from all over no matter what talent is on the card.
Furthermore, if you're throwing a mega event the only guys with experience in pulling off larger events successfully is the URL. KOTD does not do Summer Madness or NOME.

Why would you even want a mega event. Just to have people in the crowd that bump young thug, and Lil uzi zert that don't know shit about battle rap reacting to the wrong shit.
Its already bad enough how it grew after total slaughter and a bunch of no name rappers came into it.
They're doing fine without Madison square garden. This shit done came a long way.

I think everyone wants to see it grow without getting wacker
Another being the big stages don't work for every battler. It works so well for url because most of their content is straight to the point and easy for a large crowd to understand. More often than not, the multi rappers don't work in front of massive crowds. Blackout 5 was probably the closest you're gonna get to a mix match of all leagues and a lot of the battles have 0 replay value, with the exception of a few. Sure some fans enjoy both styles, but for a mega event like that, you need every fan on board. Changing the opinion of 1000s of different fans is nearly impossible. Just let each league do their thing and produce quality battles for their demographic. The battlers who can adapt, will or already have battled for different leagues.

What's the point? It's not like the leagues are all seperate and we have lots of "what if" scenarios. Smack style rappers have crossed over and battled all the talent of the the other leagues so it's not like we have to wonder what a pat stay vs arsenal battle would be like... we've seen it
