Re: somebody smart here tell me real quick?
Try to expand on how businesses no longer have just one main hub to ship product(s) due to the influx of orders/sales taken across the world. (Because of the internet)
Amazon is a great example of this. Take into account how many branches/locations they've created due to demand via the internetlet the 40 cal give 'em a perm

this sounds like you should research operations management specifically how it pertains to warehouses
check out this link

it has 10 points, look at them and ask yourself how the internet has helped with each of them. # 4 is important imo.
1) internet has helped globalization which means that there is now higher demand for businesses, this increases warehouse activities overall.
2) look up warehouse management systems
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wareho...agement_system
3) sophisticated inventory tracking systems
now companies like walmart can track their inventory/ supply chain in real time. this helps make decisions on how to manage warehouses. not possible without the internet

http://money.howstuffworks.com/how-i...stems-work.htm
4) MORE Data for better decision making
rise of the internet has lead to a rise in data which helps with "continual warehouse process improvement, .... analyze real-time data from order fulfillment technology and materials handling equipment. Benchmarking performance and analyzing collected data can facilitate more informed decisions about how to respond to changing customer requirements and business goals."
(^ this is from #4 of the link below)

4.5) more sophisicated management science models can be used in warehouses
5. why the fuck are you asking a battlerap forum? do you not know how to use a search engine?
