Scribble jam, smack DVD, jump off.tv, WRCs, grindtime, kotd all eventually died out after being the "big thing" for battle rap when the next thing took over.

URL will be no different, so many new leagues poppin up with money behind them and "real rappers", its just the next thing in battlerap.

If you look at the times, it's right on schedule too, nothing in battle rap has stayed on top for long

All depends on the next generation of Battlers, all clones so far tho, If BET maybe gave out awards for battlers it might be taken a bit more seriously. IMO i think they are trying to grow their fan base by having casual friendly battlers take the stage (KOTD) than cater to hardcore fa-........ Wait a fucking minute, who the fuck cares!

I think Daylyt made some good points in his last vlog.

Actual music industry people getting involved is the biggest threat to URL because they can't compete with unlimited income and exposure.

But deep down no matter how much you like it battle rap is fucking stupid and no large amount of normal people are going to generate money for this shit for any long period of time or give any return on investment to these big shots.

The shit is niche. As it should be. And generally it will remain that way. So generally the people who know what the fuck they're doing and not just out to make a quick buck will succeed in the long run.

off topic but LMAO at Fresh Coast Diz/Cass PPV "on sale" for $35 for a limited time. These assholes aint recouping shit.
