Brooklyn would be better on some Box Hoffa shit. You know his box type wack and come the 3rd round you could just bring that box right back.

Queens is great. More multicultural than any other place in NY. Brooklyn is right there too. Both Astoria and northwest Brooklyn have become a bit yuppie but for newbies to NY, they enjoy that. The further u get away from Manhattan, the cheaper the rents. Everything is easy to get to via train and bus, so stay near mass transit, as keeping a car in NY is a headache with limited parking.

Queens is great. More multicultural than any other place in NY. Brooklyn is right there too. Both Astoria and northwest Brooklyn have become a bit yuppie but for newbies to NY, they enjoy that. 1) learn a map of new york's neighborhoods
2) LEARN AND STUDY A NEW YORK SUBWAY MAP
3) start looking at craigslist apts with pics and begin to understand what your money will afford you in difrnt neighborhoods near whichever subway line

Rocky is pretty much dead on. My advice as a New Yorker- bring lots of $ with you or don't bother coming because you'll be headed right back to wherever it is you're coming from. Hope that helps!
