Why do Havoc be bullshitting with production on his albums?

La is versatile enough to make his flow fit different styles of production. He has the voice to pull it off despite being from up north. Just because you're capable of doing something doesn't always mean you should do it. Imo, that's what happened with his career because he could have been more known in the underground world. Idk what happened to his sophomore album. It was more in tune with the one I posted above based off the leaked tracks.

Idk who all fuck with Willie The Kid(younger brother of La The Darkman) but I was trying to push him heavy around 10 years ago on sites. All this time later I never knew what happened with his real debut album. So I ask him and I just got news that the fucking feds took his shit in a raid. That shit fucking hurts. His Crown Prince album was going to be classic. Listen to the beats on that bitch. Fuck!

I never knew about that version or the dilla track. I wasn't really checking for Bad Boy shit back then so I can't remember if that mixtape made it to the bootleggers down here.

Big threw his shot on Jays album. Had the shit you posted above. Lil Kim's 'Big Momma Thing Original Version'. Pac hurt his soul when he talked about fucking Faith. "That's why I fucked your bitch you fat motherfucker;Claim to be a playa but I fucked your wife."

Puff dumb as hell to think people are stupid enough to believe his bullshit.

    - Watch from 7:40 on, thats the original "Long Kiss Good Night".
Which was Originally released on a N.Y. Bad Boy themed mixtape for the streets.
Puffy was on it thats the 1st part(tells Pac to yapping'- Proceeds to yap for 5mins about it over Pac talkin' shit on the Hit'em Up, Basically Puffy is poking fun.

Nobody who really know hiphop, can say that Big never responded back to hit'em up. This is a fact thats been known for years.

It's different in some regards from the official released that was on Life After Death if you compare the two, official was toned back- Look at what they left off.
The shady shit is that this was recored AFTER Pac, thats foul kind of (Puffy been telling lies denying that it's not directed at Pac, as well as saying it was recorded before Pac died- and not after. He lying, i remember Lil Ceese confirmed that it is in fact solely about Pac, talking about the classic album/making of articles that XXL used to do way back when Elliot Wilson was in charge.)

The thing to wonder is why did Big still felt the need after Pac died to put it out?

...seems almost bitchmade cause he was too shook to release it as is IMO, otherwise why not just leave it off since he's dead, pac couldn't respond back, so whats the motivation with still wanting to 1 up and have the last word.

That aside- this is prob one of the top 10 diss's tracks of all time, if we're being honest. Nothing else sounds even remotely close to it plus that Rza produced tracks is crazy underrated...

-Big was throwing a lot of subliminal shots around the time. Example: Like the verse he rapped on the Dilla produced track.

It was supposed to be on whatever album Busta was making at the time.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrS3JJ6yfe4"]Biggie Smalls - The Ugliest (feat. Busta Rhymes) (prod. J Dilla) - YouTube[/ame]

That was also a Pac diss verse.

Dilla talks about The Ugliest. Def a rare interview to check out. A lil different than the versions I've been told/heard about the studio story and the reason behind altering the track.

Rapping lyrics that he obviously wrote for Lil Kim. Unrelated, that flow though... Prob rapped to show her how to do it when she recorded it.

More Rawer version of "You're Nobody"- the demo version actually. I know the producers had to play the samples, and could not sample them directly for whatever reason ( iirc that had to due with Puffy either being cheap for the album or he was not willing to pay the fee's to clear it. or it was just that particular sample that the publishers holders was demanding a larger amount which was the reasoning for that decision).

I'm still mad that LikNuts album never panned out.

    @blackonboth
I definitely think kurupt was influenced by the wrong people telling him that.

I'll throw another name out from a rapper that could have owned the underground but decided to just do dumb shit musically. La The Darkman.
    @Justice
I could have sworn it was Quik. I'm looking at some interviews to see if I run across it. It may have been Daz tho. I remember one of them saying that they'd never release it to make a profit of Pac.

I would say he did based on it's production style. iirc this is a Dogg Pound track not a track for Pac, Pac is just a feature on here. so that confirms it in my mind.

I believe this track was Dogg Pound's response to their trailer getting shot up in NY.

    A Quik & Pac album exists ?
I only know of that some random DJ blending of Pac vocals over Quik instrumentals on datpiff .

You sure you aint confusing it with Daz, Daz is sitting on a certain amount of Pac tracks that hasn't leaked "supposedly".
He stoled how ever many reels or dats from Death Row. And he got sued for that Pac & Daz "Don't Go 2 Sleep EP" by Afeni. Daz stated some outlandish number of Pac tracks he still has that the world never heard/leaked. Think he said some bs like 60 some more, I don't believe that. Or should i say i don't believe he still has some 60 tracks that nobody else aside form him has heard that never leaked, thats still in his possession.

You see what I mean @DieSlow....

At 1 point (prob 94-95) he was arguably the best rapper alive on the West Coast (off of only guest appearances on Chronic and Doggy Style) cuz Ras Kass was still too weird/underground with Western Hemisphear and Ice Cube was past Death Certificate/Predator Godliness and was transitioning into smooth jam Don Mega.

Only comp to Kurupts thrown was Tash from the Liks who was spittin fire punches on every song.

Del who had just dropped his GOAT album No Need for Alarm.

And Saafir...who I loved but was too weird for most.

It was almost like he was suppressing his skills....wouldnt be surprised if his crew got on him for sounding like "dem East Coast Niggas" too much. SMFH.

    Never heard that one...

Still stand by Kurupt being 1 of the biggest disappointments in hip hop history (thread coming 1 day...eventually).

He could've/should've easily dropped the West Coast equivalent of Illmatic back in the mid 90's with any producer on the West and East willing to give him pure Heat.

But he wanted to be a gangster like the rest of them Death Row niggas when he was clearly a top tier lyricist.

    He was so special....wasted potential.
