Garcia aint changed his whole career...slow + no jab + doesn't throw nearly enough punches.

All he ever had was an iron chin and a lucky strong hook.

Ya & Garcia has a really good jab when he actually uses it, whether with power or to set up. His footwork is good, but he needs to be trained on cutting off the ring. His feints were pretty bad, especially since hes nautrally inclined to counter punch.

Thurman deserved the win, glad he wasnt robbed. Alot quicker then i thought he was, im still not sure if i would bet on him vs Kell Brook tho.

Boxing in US is close to life support, its still huge worldwide(canada, england, russia & others). US boxing has that 1% mentality, due to poor promoting/poor venue choices imo.

Garcia has great timing & spatial awareness. This particular fight, Thurman had good gameplan & great ring generalship. He dictated most of the exchanges, where & when they happened.

i think Haymon is doing leg work to bring boxing back whilst overpaying guys on someone elses dime. Hes sacrificing his rep to feed alot of people. I think he knew what he was doing from day one.

GB was on a roll under Schaeffer's control, morals aside. Now, yes all they have is Canelo. And top rank is the most consistent at building draws, ramirez, crawford, lomachenko.

Also K2 promotions are doing their thing, and low key main events has had a resurgence under kathy duva.

Great time period to watch boxing.

Marquez-Pac 4 was a brutal fight too. Mayweather vs Corrales or Gatti are perfect reasons why you dont fuck with Floyd. Ironically, he wanted to punish Corrales because he had domestic abuse charges pending.
