Boxing B-Hop's "final fight" 10pm EST

Tonight on HBO. Bernard Hopkins has what he says is his final fight.

51 years old & a pro boxer for 28 years, 55-7-2 with 32 KOs. His opponent is an up & comer in 175 pound division. Joe Smith Jr is 22-1 w/ 18 KOs. If Smith wins he becomes a major player at light heavy.

The undercard should be watchable, the more interesting fight imo is Oleksandr Usyk, this should be a good test of Usyk's stamina as they more than likely will go full 12.

Hopkins isnt the most exciting fighter to watch so heres some things to look for to make it more interesting.

Hes the way older(Smith is 27 btw) & less active fighter & maybe weaker too.

Hop will try to do illegal hip/thigh punches on the side opposite of the ref. He might try sneaking in headbutts behind a lead right hand.

Hop will also slow down the pace using footwork & movement. He'll engage when he wants to, if Smith gets within striking distance & Hop does not want to engage at that moment he will tie him up to force a break.

Usyk was taller, but he was so brisk on his feet im not convinced he was the heavier fighter. Usyk was confronted with a problem & he figured it out in 3/4 rounds. Usyk is a problem.
