Judo does not work in MMA sadly, took a bit of judo when i was a kid

Disagree. Judo comes in very handy in certain situations.

those situations dont happen often enough to be creditable IMO , balance and core strength from judo certainly are useful. The throws/basic submissions are easily countered once the opponent trains for it.

The most dominate Judo fighter was Fedor (he did sambo/judo) and he would fake throws to break from clinches to throw combinations.

karo parisyan and sexyama were pure judo dudes who didnt get to use their techniques once they got to the top 10

I agree it isn’t something that should be your dominant art. It’s still valuable in your arsenal, specially trips and throws if you’re better on the ground.
