Most Americans just seem to look at whoever's in the top 2-3 in the British or Spanish leagues and pick one of them. Pretty rare to meet any foreigner who isn't a Man City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Barcelona or Real Madrid fan. There were a few Dortmund and Atletico fans floating around for a couple of years there too.
