Boxing Abner Mares vs Leo De La Cruz

Tomorrow night on ESPN at 10pm EST, PBC presents one of boxing's most anticipated match ups as Abner Mares squares off against Leo Santa Cruz.

Ill bump tomorrow with more info on this match up, for now heres some quick updates on the sport.

September 12th, Mayweather has his "swan song" against the beast Andre Berto. Keepin it a buck, at best just catch a stream on this, mainly for the chief undercard match Rocky Martinez/Orlando Salido 2.

The following month, on the 17th, GGG makes his PPV debut vs David Lemieux with the "Hawaiian Punch" Brian Viloria challenging top 5 p4p-er Roman Gonzalez.

A month later is Cotto-Canelo on the 21st.

Fight starts at 5:40, highlights at 22:50 & 41:45, although the whole bout isnt exactly high volume, but still entertaining no doubt.

Abner Mares (29-1-1 w/ 15 KOs) vs Leo Santa Cruz (30-0-1 w/ 17 KOs).

Mares has been focusing on his defense more since getting KO'd a few years ago, but Cruz's come-foward, high volume style will eventually force a fight to break out. Leo is the taller, fighter, & Mares is a good body puncher so his older, more reckless style should benefit him more in this bout. Leo tends to fight low so the uppercut from Mares should be utilized.

Also, Shane Mosley vs Ricardo Mayorga 2 is on at 10pm EST. Its PPV, i'd recommend waiting to see if its a good fight & catch a link afterwards since the first fight was kinda boring.
