Idk. In the UFC statement they released before Aldo withdrew they said McGregor will fight the #1 contender which was Mendes. I don't know why they'd move Edgar up before the fight.

I think aldo has more power both in his hands and legs then Mendes..mcgaygorr has his height and reach and power but if Mendes was able To get two take Downs on aldo he can definitely take Connor down and just ground and pound for the win

Aldo doesn't have the same power as he used to imo. Maybe in his legs, that 1-2 he hit Chad with at the bell had some power, but he's not as dangerous as the WEC days.

Only thing he has on Mendes is height/reach. There's no way Conner has more power than Mendes.
