  • Triple G back, Roman Gonz HBO debut

Tonight at 10 pm EST, HBO brings two of boxing's most skilled offensive fighters to one of boxing's best action venues, The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

The opening fight features the debut of the king of the flyweight division, Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, 42-0 w/ 36 KOs. He squares off against Edgar Sosa, 51-8 w/ 30 KOs.

In the main event: Gennady Golovkin, 32-0 w/ 29 KOs vs Willie Monroe Jr, 19-1 w/ 6 KOs. This is more of a stay busy, showcase fight for GGG as Monroe doesn't deserve a shot at the 154 pound champ yet.

Golovkin on the heavy bag, punches sounding like gunshots

Choco vs Akira Yaegashi, very gutsy & great effort by Akira.

Choco was on point, hope HBO funds an Estrada rematch & if he wins, then a Zou Shiming match, & ultimately Roman vs the young phenom Naoya Inoue.

Michael Buffer made 3mill for the MayPac fight, then he did Canelo the next week & now GGG! "That guy is the MVP tonight."

              omg golovkins punches are great

each one knocks the dudes head back, even a jab. Thats a sign of a great puncher.

              KO is imminent

                          He's a great fighter

Time for him to get tested with a really good opponent

But no good opponent wants to fight golovkin. High risk fight and the pay isn't that high. Cotto won't fight him, Ward has no plans to fight him soon cause he is taking easy fights to get back. Canelo might fight him but I think he wants to fight Cotto first. I hope canelo beats cotto and then we should see GGG vs Canelo May or June 2016.

To add to your point, Quillin is the best active middleweight to challenge Triple G & he's "promoted" by Al Haymon, who doesn't play ball with HBO so that's a no go.
