its a sport and like any other sport it is generally found entertaining to watch other people complete physical feats that the average person cannot do.

it also gives a break from personal trouble and realities of real life as you can immerse yourself in something outside of your everyday sorrows

Well there's a few things that make it special IMO

Now that pride is gone and them other Asian mma organization are done
Every top tier fighter in the world is going 2 flock to the UFC as opposed to how it was a decade ago

The weight classes have been great in the past 5 years
Esp the light heavyweight, welterweight and lightweight divisions

When boxing became more of a backstage promoter protecting their fav fighters etc
Boxing took a black eye and lost a lot of fans
In the UFC the top guys in each class will inevitably be facing each other
No bullshit promoters or manager ego shit
Just them 2 booked via the the UFC and their past performances

It's also special cause now with the UFC on major network TV
It seems Boxing has now stepped up and focus more on fan friendly fights instead of safe bullshit fights.
Which is awesome seeing how they realized MMA is growing in terms of a fan base
Better late than ever

In Boxing ur restricted to just ur hands
In a real fight outside of boxing there are no restrictions

B4 humans talked , made tools and built stuff
I'm thinking they was fighting over food and resources
Fighting in general is 1 of the earliest forms of human Interaction

So that's why its special
