You do realize Dirk Nowitizki makes $22 million, Amare Stoudemire makes $21 million, and Joe Johnson makes $21 million, and Kobe had by far a greater year in a larger market, with the team that makes the most money in the NBA, then all of them last year. He made 1st team All NBA last year.

Not saying Kobe's contract doesn't hurt his team to be competitive to win a championship, but to say it's one of the worst contracts ever

If there was no salary cap and max contracts, people like Kobe, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Lebron, etc... are actually worth alot more then the max contracts.

So that means Derrick Rose's contract was horrible right?

It has yet to be seen if Kobe's contract doesn't improve the Lakers. They can still get another max player. It doesn't maximize their ability to improve, but keep in mind Kobe took a pay cut, he could of asked for over $30 million based on his max contract.

So I think it was good comprimise for the Lakers/Kobe keeping their superstar player in a superstar driven city.
