People sleep on 4 heavy at times, that was my 1st FF game. Old heads remember Mystic Quest on snes too, which was like FF lite/diet. It had some cool features/ideas. it's if you took a bit of Zelda into a simplistic FF but it's not a GOOD FF- by any means.


Can't speak on FF 5, never beat it for whatever reason. Only played maybe about half or less. Should go through some of my closet and find my GBA copy of it.


My main criticism with 9, like 10- (but nowheres near as bad as 10 is in this department) is the main protagonist. However 9 is really good overall. Wouldn't hate on anyone having it in their top 2-3.

For me FF cause everything Sqaure did from 16bit era to PS 1 preoccupied me in video games growing up, but there isn't really a bad Zelda game(except for that CD-I shit lmao but that doesn't count). A Link to The Past & Ocarina of Time (in that order are my fav). Never played Majora's Mask and I know thats some peoples fav, never finished Wind Waker, hated the bootleg wanna be Metal Gear sneaking bs in a barrel section tho. The over world being changed to the ocean was low key awesome with them being audacious enough to do that for a change of pace.


I played more FF, but later FF (post 10) is trash and drenched in mediocrity and ass



I played maybe a hour or so of Breath of The Wild at my uncles and it was solid.

zelda vs ff is pretty even and comes down to if you prefer gameplay (zelda) or story (ff)

both series only have 4 playable games imo link to the past, links awakening, and the n64 zeldas are all good same with ff 5 6 7 and 9

the second half and end is where this game shines it definitely starts off slow

i think the main problem is its too easy or certain abilities are super overpowered (coin toss on samurai, aqualung/white wind blue magic, ninja using 2 weapons/throw, summoner class in general)
