A lot of people are unaware of a Take It In Blood pt 2 even existing.


I think of it as a sequel to a movie (Ex Evil Dead 1 & 2 comes to mind specifically), usually with a sequel you get more of the same-which is more often than not is what sited as a criticism or a blatant lack of originality. But every now and then you get one that may not be better than the original but can come close(even rarer is a sequel/remake being superior to the 1st/original- Godfather 2 & Carpenters The Thing).


Thats the dope about this, it touches on just enough familiarity of part 1(references/rhymes) but it veers it purposely in a different direction( in a good way).


Too bad it's only 2 verses though, for a number of yrs i thought it was only one verse, had a real shitty quality one that i had stumbled across that i use to play- bitch ass dj was tagging it every 8-10 secs. Perhaps there is a 3rd verse sitting somewheres that just haven't leaked yet.

That Flow, great example of versatility and him experimenting with different styles & approaches to rapping as a emcee in comparison to others. The track is left field with it's production and is actually pretty barebones, but Nas adapts and makes it his own .
