You know with the amount of slang that is used, the translations aren't going to be 100% accurate? Just like almost any translation that's more than just 1 word.

english translation is an approximation of what is being said, it obviously lacks any rhymes and all the wordplay. that being said, yes, he is not a rappers rapper, same way as lux, huge vocabulary and at ease with complex, unorthodox rhymes and concepts, poetic, etc. but no Bigg K for sure haha not a 4 bar wrapper. He is a polarized figure in russia, same way as Lux, either hailed as the goat or as some mumbling wonna be genius.

Of course the slang is throwing it off, but even the translation itself does not make for a good bar. I guess it's just a personal preference. I couldn't adapt to that style because it lacks any impact. Its like people have a conversation and using as much vulgarity as they can without directly insulting the other person. I just can't vibe with it.

from what I've seen, a dozen or so main battles, they seem to be very similar to early KOTD battles, based heavily on personals with low punchline count and everyone seems to copy each other flow wise (well except for oxxxy, he seems to be like a chameleon, switching non stop). I dont care for their backstories and dirt they have on each other so battles have absolutely no replay value for me, watched out of curiosity. I don't like battles of insults, I like creative surprising battles and they dont got those in russia haha

Agreed. Like I was saying, it just seemed like they were doing their best to just degrade the other person through things we wouldn't even know shit about outside of being a fan. It had no initial play value other than someone mentioning 12m views on a video, so I was like...this guy has to be decent at least. I was sorely disappointed.

I don't expect much from Dizaster and this guy either.

I did some research, this guy has made multiple #1 rap albums in russia. What I'm gathering is he just loves da culture and is holding it down for russia. He brought attention to the battle scene, I'm guessing he's like an Eminem equivalent. According to the wiki page he's battling dizaster in 2018. It's also note worthy he probably knows English, he studied at Oxford university.

And yeah hes like Lux/Mook in the battlerap sense. He's only battled 5 times, and supposedly won 4 out of 5 battles. He battles so little, and makes multiple albums that reach #1 spot in russia. He's definitely it down.

I actually like dizaster when he goes full on clown mode, with accents, impersonations, etc. but he got fucking sloppy these past few years, its like he's not even trying, super rushed, mad filler, etc. When he was a mid tier young goof it came off effortlessly and he had some genius moments, he freestyled well too. He can pull off room shakers too when he commits and focuses on his writing. Thinking of the Canibus battle, feel like im putting my own dog to sleep, that was COLD. And I fucking hate his buff/tattoos/gino arab style, thats mad wack. Anyway, as for the russian guy, he seems to be super confused right now, in his mind he was a god and got beat 5-0 by a real battle rapper, not some pop star. He made a post saying he got taught a big lesson and he is back to the blackboard, will reexamine his whole approach and style and will be version 2.0 for Diz battle. IMO, its not the time to experiment when it comes to your first international battle, and your first battle in english. He did live in London before, so he probably is fairly fluid or at least okay at it. Im not exciter either way, will still watch but mehh.. Instead I want to see Big T vs Qleen Paper with proper 4-5 month preparation and they both go in dedicated to the max like its their last battle :)

Last battle I thought Dizaster actually tried in was the I.S. battle. I'm not a fan of his delivery at all.
