I met The Mast at Gosh Comics once - we’d accidentally been given his table (They serve food and drinks as well). Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked (Which in retrospect is autistic as fuck but fuck it), and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Wednesday or something like that).

Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice place, for a comic book shop) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My friend was fine but I got a bit annoyed with it and started arguing with the manager a bit, called her a dickhead etc.

“I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?”

Then out of nowhere The Mast shows up next to the manager and says “It's...it's OK, they can finish, I'll be at the Victoria's Secret across the road".

And I (being a big battle rap, comic book, and erotic blackmail fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.”

Davod was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then followed me on twitter and said to DM him. I've only recently discovered this forum but I have to say that this is one of the best threads I've read on any message board ever. I used to follow The Mast on twitter and had numerous arguments with him, mostly over him being a general cock.

I must say that it's hardly surprising to read about his actions. I didn't/don't know him on any sort of personal level but you could tell from a mile away that he was danger.
