Chance the Rapper - Bar for Bar Breakdown

What's good y'all. I'm back with another Bar for Bar Breakdown! This week we analyze Chance the Rapper's song How Great from Coloring Book.

I'll be honest, Coloring Book was a bit underwhelming. Chance also a did quite a bit of impersonating his features. Even with this track I broke down, he was doing a Jay Elec impersonation. I feel like he took a step back lyrically to get more mainstream appeal and spread his new faith.

Of Course it isn't! I'm starting with mainstream artists, then I'll transition to battlers. This is just a process to gather viewers. My goal is to alternate between mainstream and battlers every week. I don't really see too many people in the industry fucking with battlers bar for bar.

Let me ask you, which battlers should I breakdown for future vids? I fuck with schemers like QP, JC, Chilla, Daylyt, etc. Who else should I cover on a bar to bar basis.

That's a good list right there tbh. Plenty of rounds to dechiper. They all spit in a metaphor sense opposed to like a B magic or Bigg K easy to follow similie style who I'd try to stay away from cus they aren't really going over ppls head.

please break down lotta zay. there was a time he had one of the best pens in battlerap. his young kannon, young x, nasdaq ness, nunn nunn, john john battles [both of them] are goldmines of lyricism.
